You’re feeling overwhelmed by it all.
It’s a struggle to meet the responsibilities of day-to-day living.
Unsatisfied with your current level of happiness or confidence – you want so much more for your life.
Have you been trying to turn your life around for some time but only gotten meager results?
You know there must be a way!
I am convinced that living the life we want is possible, even when faced with huge struggles and mental health difficulties.
Often, my clients will initially be faced with their inability to stop worrying incessantly, stop thinking negative thoughts, connect well with their partner, control mood swings, focus properly, and accept their experiences from the past.
They want to gain control of their life to achieve more satisfaction and happiness, individually and in their relationships.
Perhaps you’ve tried therapy before…
But it didn’t help as you hoped.
Sometimes, past therapy efforts have failed since you may not have connected well with the therapist personally, or your therapist’s way of explaining things did not meet your learning style.
I ensure through our free 15-minute consultation that I connect well with all my clients. In addition, I am skilled at connecting with a wide variety of learning styles and am a great communicator. My patience and care for clients are never-ending, and I have a knack for keeping things interesting.
What will our time together look like?
First, we’ll meet online once weekly. Teletherapy is a convenient, comfortable, and affordable way to help you make the life changes you’re looking for.
As a therapist, I have enjoyed seeing people turn their lives around and find happiness by applying sound principles and trusting relationships.
You’ll be supported and challenged.
This is a nonjudgmental, safe place where you can be comfortable discussing your life’s challenges and practicing new habits.
I have a natural ability to understand others, so I help my clients feel understood, validated, and important. I encourage them throughout the journey to help them gain confidence and build new habits. They enjoy feeling reassured and appreciated.
I challenge my clients by giving them the chance to learn new skills and grow personally. We practice these skills, and I help them become more competent by using basic concepts to build more complex ones. They benefit by learning what’s needed to overcome their unique life’s challenges from my skills and experience.
We’ll focus on your strengths.
Focusing on your strengths makes you comfortable since you achieve more and build confidence. Everyone possesses innate strengths, so it makes sense to use them for progress instead of having to learn something new.
We’ll always be on the lookout for growth opportunities.
So, you must adopt and maintain a mindset that says, “I can do this,” and not feel bad when you don’t have perfect outcomes. We focus a lot on your daily experiences and how you can change insecurities into areas of skill and do what you would like without fear.
We’ll build your social skills and confidence.
This might mean relationship-building with family members or strangers you want to get to know. You’ll enjoy improving your social habits until you feel confident using them on your own to broaden your social perspective.
You’ll start looking forward to our weekly sessions!
After all, this is when you’re unconditionally supported as you make sense of your feelings and find ways to overcome your problems.
You’ll enjoy the emotional boost you get from our sessions, as they infuse you with the confidence and optimism you need to solve problems and be your best self.
When you see that anything is possible, you’ll see how your confidence will help you leave your problems behind!
About Me
My mission is to help others live their greatest potential.
As I have matured into adulthood, I have enjoyed helping friends and family members achieve their goals in their areas of interest.
Helping them stay the course and remain accountable for their success makes me feel good… makes me feel inspired.
Over the past several years, I have done this successfully with hundreds of clients.
I believe the wealth of the world is the people in it.
… and that anyone can obtain greatness through consistent effort and using their smarts.
Don’t measure success by comparing yourself to others. Instead, compare yourself to where YOU started.
Our potential is the greatest gift God has given us, and we should strive diligently to become our best.
Some of my training and education…
I have training in Gottman relationship therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma, and various techniques designed to help you overcome common mental health and lifestyle problems.
Numerous seminars have proven invaluable in understanding relationships, personal achievement, finances, and overcoming life’s struggles. This knowledge has enhanced the education I received at Northwest Nazarene University as a Master of Social Work (MSW).
I’m licensed to do clinical work and have enjoyed it for several years.
When I’m not busy helping my clients…
I’ll be doing something with my family: a wife, six children, a small Yorkie, four cats, and four bunnies. We often go to the movies, do community activities, or set out on vacation. We enjoy each other’s uniqueness and live by the idea that it’s good to achieve, but something’s wrong if you’re not having fun!
I’m also into health and fitness. I have run two marathons, a 40-mile ultra-marathon, two triathlons, and several other community races to make working out more exciting. I’ve also done martial arts in the past. During the summer months, I enjoy archery.
I enjoy listening to and playing music. Earlier in university, I played saxophone in the symphonic and jazz bands and still play for personal enjoyment. I also play piano at home.
I believe reading is good for mental and personal health, so I read often. I like suspense, self-improvement, and therapy-related books.
Take a step toward securing your happiness and success!
As we work together, you’ll find that your life changes more and more. It’ll be abundantly clear after several months!
I want your therapy experience to be interesting, enjoyable, and full of rich ideas for improving your situation in your priority areas. I’ll strive to make that a reality in every session.
I often get the compliment, “You understand me like no one has before.” I live by the idea that no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care. I think you’ll be amazed at how much therapy can help you reach your goals and become the person you want to be.
Let me help you become all that you want in life!
