How do you want to improve your life?
A lack of motivation might make it difficult to complete any task. Feeling anxious or having mood swings may make it difficult to enjoy being in social situations.
Perhaps relationships or other personal problems keep you from enjoying where your life is currently.
Struggles come in many different forms – losing a job, existing in a job you don’t want, or not meeting your employer’s expectations. You might be struggling but don’t know the cause.
No matter your struggle (and maybe you’re not even sure what it is yet), you’ve come to the right place!
Struggles keep mounting.
Everything you’ve done has seemed like more of a struggle lately – from getting out of bed in the morning to turning out the light at night. You can’t seem to shake the blues you feel. Motivation to go to work has been hard to muster, and it feels like a boring chore.
You constantly wonder if your partner loves you because they are more distant than ever.
Hobbies don’t seem to matter anymore – lying in bed seems to be your only form of recreation. Life has lost its savor, and you wonder how you got to a place of such struggle. You used to be able to pull yourself out of hard times, but this time it seems more challenging.
There hasn’t been much headway on improving, and you’re now considering where to get help. I can help. Let me show you how to put your struggles behind you and start living the life you want!
“Going it alone” doesn’t seem to help.
Perhaps you have tried to solve your problems alone by reading self-help books, talking to friends, or even asking your phone for suggestions online.
While these efforts are steps in the right direction, they are only small steps in a long journey. Trying to figure out solutions is like trying to do your auto repair. Sometimes, it might work, but most of the time, you will need the help of a trained professional.
Working with an educated and experienced therapist is like having an all-star player on your team who you can count on to get the win. Your journey will go much quicker as you move forward with the speed of a qualified therapist.
Therapy makes your transformation easier.
Therapy helps you determine precisely where you need to change and will start you off by building the habits that will improve your life. Together, we’ll set goals and take the necessary steps for your progress.
Our therapeutic relationship is a fun way to feel supported, be held accountable, and learn how to overcome life’s problems. We use evidence-based principles as the foundation for your growth, so success is imminent!
What we’ll do in individual therapy…
Understand what’s going on with you.
It’s important to define the problems you face when attempting to make life improvements. We’ll discuss various aspects of your life that cause you to struggle and need changing. We’ll evaluate your interests, responsibilities, and socializing to determine what can help you thrive.
I help people understand their values and priorities and set goals that create excitement for daily living! Knowing the right direction to go makes it easier to get through struggles.
Establish a new mindset.
A quality mindset is one of the most important aspects of living a happy and successful life.
Because your thoughts control your actions and your actions create your life, a good mindset is necessary for good results. I will help you overcome negative thoughts, allowing you to focus more on your positive attributes.
We’ll discuss your fundamental beliefs and how to create direction for achieving daily what you truly find important. Knowing those beliefs is essential to overcoming mental health struggles and having the confidence you deserve.
Learn new skills.
Skills are like tools in a toolbox. The more you have, the better life you can build. After determining your direction, we will use important daily skills to get you there.
You will learn skills in prioritizing, planning, focusing, relationship-building, stress management, mood regulation, staying present, and many others. We’ll determine the specific skills you need to reach your goals and work together to build your habits in using them effectively. Using those skills will improve your character and self-control.
Form new habits based on your strengths.
Because everyone constantly forms new habits, we will work together to help you intentionally do what will move you forward. It gets easier with time when you become less dependent on me as a therapist and begin overcoming those habits by yourself.
Habits create our lifestyle and reflect our personality, so you must have quality self-care, coping, and preparation habits. Such practices will help you to turn your life around and enjoy feeling in control of your future.
When we identify those attributes you excel in, overcoming difficulty and creating new habits is much easier. I will help you use your strengths to overcome weaknesses and develop new attributes. Those attributes will help you develop a better mindset, routines, and relationship confidence.
Therapy is more fun when you do what you are good at, which leads to more success. Your self-image and abilities will improve as you use your strengths to reach your goals.
Work through the effects of trauma.
Everyone has experienced trauma, but it’s important to work through its effects to recover fully.
Our emotions are often vulnerable to negative influence, leading to bad results when over-pressured. Emotional wounds can fully heal with the proper care and effort.
I’ll help you understand how to overcome adverse emotional effects, understand your role in making sure that your trauma does not appear again, and be more accepting of yourself. Your past doesn’t dictate your future.
