All those fears about what COULD happen…
Even if they’re not realistic, that doesn’t stop them from overtaking your mind.
“Does my boss think I’m doing enough at work? I’m going to get fired from my job.”
“Will I get in a car wreck?”
“My partner and I haven’t seen eye-to-eye lately. She’s going to leave me.”
“Who will take care of things at home if I get sick?”
You just can’t shake the worries you feel most of the time. They overcome your ability to function, keeping you from focusing your full energy on your daily tasks or building the relationships you desire.
So why can’t you let it go?
Your anxiety can likely come from past bad experiences, social pressure, overwhelming responsibilities, or personal insecurities.
You’ve been worrying about work and your family. In fact, it seems you have been worrying about everything lately, and it is hard to get in control.
“Bad things will happen to me no matter what I do.”
How you think, work, and act all seem flawed, and you’re worried others will soon notice those flaws and call you out.
There are consistent thoughts that won’t go away – bad things from the past might happen again, and you have no control over stopping them. You feel like you attract bad luck and are surprised your world has not yet reached a screeching stop.
Trying to act as if nothing is wrong and like you’re not worried is becoming more and more difficult. You wonder if there is a way out.
I’ve helped many people just like you with their anxiety.
We’ll use evidence-based solutions to overcome your fears and worries, one step at a time…
Adopting new thoughts…
Our thoughts control our actions, and our actions control our lives. I’ll teach you to refocus negative thoughts into positive ones and focus on solutions instead of problems. Others will notice a difference in you as you radiate positivity instead of worry and exude more confidence.
Taking on new behaviors…
Good moods and positivity largely come from doing enjoyable activities often. I’ll help you get into the habit of spending time with hobbies, with your favorite people, and enjoying just being you. This will help alleviate worries and feelings that bad things will happen. You’ll enjoy developing yourself and living the life you want.
Learning techniques to reduce stress and worry…
A good toolbox of skills will prepare you for life’s struggles. I will teach you how to challenge the rationale of your worries, mental imagery, progressive muscle relaxation, visualization, “box” breathing, and how to focus on your specific positive attributes. You’ll feel competent and in control of having a great day every day.
Building your confidence…
Good confidence can improve every aspect of your life. I’ll teach you to overcome worries about performing well, general fears, and personal insecurities. I’ll help you use visualization, affirmations, meditation, and journaling to focus on your attribute strengths and natural abilities. You’ll feel more in charge of your life and will enjoy knowing your future is bright.
Max* was a 36-year-old car salesman…
He couldn’t get in control of his worries and often felt like an imposter.
Every day, he stressed about his sales quotas. If his boss suggested that business was down and needed more out of him, he just KNEW he was the next one to lose his job.
He stressed about his personal relationships, too. He had a stable six-month relationship with his girlfriend, but his constant worry about what she thought of him kept them from progressing.
When Max started therapy, he worried that he wouldn’t make progress, but I reassured him I saw potential in him and felt we would have success.
He started doing things differently, including a morning routine each day before work, affirmations to remind himself of his positive attributes and goals, and stress-reducing activities to stay calm.
Our relationship grew, and he learned to trust that our sessions would help him process his recent difficulties and teach him new ways to overcome his worries. His income increased, and his relationship with his girlfriend stabilized – to his relief.
Max overcame his chronic worries and had more time to focus on who he wanted to be.
This is what I want for you and what you can achieve through therapy!
